肚皮舞阿拉伯原名为："Raks Sharki" 意指东方之舞，因此又称“东方舞蹈”。肚皮舞源自埃及，最开始它是一种宫廷的舞蹈，只能在皇宫为贵族及国际交流进行演出。平民很少能一睹皇家的肚皮舞风采，直到1893年芝加哥举办的世界博览会，埃及选送了本国的舞蹈艺术国粹肚皮舞，性感优雅妩媚热辣的肚皮舞立即在世界引起轰动，并在博览会后很快风靡美国从而风靡世界，于是美国人将肚皮舞的法文Danse Du Ventre，翻译成英文"The Dance of The stomach"，直译成 "Belly Dance"。从此以后这种经典的舞蹈经常出现在百老汇的歌舞电影中。肚皮舞通过世博会走向了世界，其精致的服饰，华丽的胯部动作及有效帮助女性修身塑形后而带来的性感妩媚优雅动人的姿态令全球女性着迷。半个世纪后，成立了8年时间的BDSS（BELLY DANCE SUPER STAR）旗下大师级的舞者（JILINA、ANSUYA、RACHEL BRICE…）常年在欧洲、非洲、美洲以及亚洲的100多个国家巡演，为肚皮舞的世界推广立下了不可磨灭的功勋！

Egypt. At first, it was a court dance, and only performed for the nobility or the international exchange in the palace. The civilians couldn't see the royal belly
dance until the Chicago World Expo in 1893. Egypt selected belly dance, the quintessence dance, there. This sexy, elegant and charming hot belly dance
immediately hit the world. And it soon swept the United States and then the world after the Expo. Then the Americans translated the French of belly dance
“Danse Du Ventre” into English "The Dance of The stomach", then directly translated as "Belly Dance". Since then, this classic dance often appeared in
